Background
The client runs a custom woodworking workshop in a suburban area prone to occasional power outages. Production downtime due to electricity cuts was leading to delivery delays and lost revenue.
The client wanted a clean, quiet, and long-lasting backup solution that could also store solar power to reduce electricity costs.
Solution
We supplied a 48V 200Ah (10.24 kWh) LiFePO₄ battery pack with integrated BMS, paired with:
-
6 kW rooftop solar array
-
48V MPPT solar charge controller
-
5 kW hybrid inverter
The 48V configuration was chosen for its higher efficiency in power delivery and lower current, which reduces wiring losses and supports higher load capacity compared to 12V or 24V systems.
Results & Benefits
- Up to 12 hours of uninterrupted operation for essential workshop tools and office electronics Daily solar charging offsets up to 60% of grid power usage
- Cycle life over 6,000 cycles @ 80% DOD, ensuring more than 10 years of reliable service
- Full BMS protection against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, and over-temperature
- Zero emissions & silent operation, ideal for indoor installation
Client Feedback
