Northbrook, IL – April 15, 2025 – UL Solutions has issued a public safety warning concerning Kepworth 24V 60Ah LiFePO₄ deep-cycle batteries. These units, labeled with an unauthorized UL Certification Mark, have not undergone proper safety testing by UL, and their compliance remains uncertain .

  • Product Affected: Kepworth LiFePO₄ Deep Cycle Battery, 24 V 60 Ah (Model 24V60Ah / 2460YD), with approx. 1536 Wh capacity 

  • Concerns: The batteries bear UL marks on blue labels despite lacking UL’s review and certification, raising safety concerns 

  • Sales Channels: These units have been available via Walmart.com and Amazon.com​

UL's Recommendation:

UL strongly advises that these batteries be immediately taken out of service due to the possibility of untested defects and potential safety hazards.
